JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) or equivalent (Advanced degree preferred).

Experience: 20+ years of extensive experience in engineering management in an Engineering or EPC Company.

Industry : Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical/ Fertilizer

Software Proficiency: Proficient in engineering design software, project management tools, and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all engineering activities, including design, development, and implementation of engineering projects.
  • Develop and execute engineering strategies, plans, and initiatives aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Manage engineering projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Write and present project proposals and status reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to drive innovation and product development.
  • Schedule and make assignments as needed, as well as procurement for necessary supplies, equipment and ancillary services.
  • Involvement in detailed design calculations, preparation of engineering data sheets & specifications, shop fabrication drawings
  • Oversee all engineering and related projects, services and functions.
  • To front end with clients and handle queries and clarifications for the various engineering disciplines.
  • To manage the design issues with the sub-contractors and ensure compliance with the client design
  • Conduct engineering feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for new projects and initiatives.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices in engineering activities.
  • Determining the need for training and talent development.
  • Monitor and analyze engineering performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and strategic interventions.
  • Maintain positive relations with external customers.
  • Ensuring interface to have the support of upper management.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the engineering teams.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to engineering staff.
