Position: Instrumentation Engineer
Qualification: B.E/B.Tech. (Instrumentation Engineering)
Experience Level: 3-4 years
Overview: We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for the execution of instrumentation deliverables for site installation projects in various sectors such as Petrochemicals, Refinery, Oil & Gas, and Thermal Power. Your role will involve understanding technical documentation, preparing necessary documents, and reviewing vendor documents to ensure the successful implementation of instrumentation systems. Experience in feasibility studies for revamp projects, especially in brownfield projects, would be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your expertise in instrumentation engineering to understand technical documentation and specifications for site installation projects.
- Prepare necessary documents such as project plans, instrument lists, datasheets, and drawings to facilitate the execution of instrumentation deliverables.
- Review vendor documents and specifications, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and contractors, to ensure smooth execution of instrumentation projects.
- Provide technical support during the procurement process, including vendor evaluation, clarifications, and inspections.
- Conduct feasibility studies for revamp projects, considering the existing brownfield infrastructure and implementing cost-effective and efficient solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies to meet project timelines and objectives.
- Support the site installation team by resolving technical issues, coordinating with stakeholders, and conducting inspections.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in the field of instrumentation engineering.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in site installation projects, preferably in sectors such as Petrochemicals, Refinery, Oil & Gas, and Thermal Power.
- Strong understanding of technical documentation and specifications related to instrumentation deliverables.
- Familiarity with preparing project plans, instrument lists, datasheets, and drawings.
- Ability to review vendor documents and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Experience in feasibility studies for revamp projects, particularly in brownfield environments, would be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in using software tools and applications relevant to instrumentation engineering.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to address technical challenges during project execution.
- Adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
