Position: Lead Process Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Process Engineer to join our team. As a Lead Process Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing process engineering activities in the refinery, fertilizer, or heavy chemicals industry, with a focus on technical services and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering and extensive experience in the specified industries.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing process engineering activities for refinery, fertilizer, or heavy chemicals projects.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to the project team in process design and optimization.
- Conducting process simulations, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations to identify and implement improvements.
- Developing and reviewing PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and other process engineering deliverables.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Participating in the development and review of process design basis, process safety studies, and hazard assessments.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and procurement, to support project execution and operational excellence.
- Managing and coordinating process engineering activities during the various project phases, from conceptual design to commissioning and start-up.
- Conducting process optimization studies to improve efficiency, productivity, and energy consumption.
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior process engineers.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in the refinery, fertilizer, or heavy chemicals sectors.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 12-15 years of experience in process engineering in the refinery, fertilizer, or heavy chemicals industry.
- Proven experience in leading and managing process engineering activities for technical services and projects.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of industry-specific processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and other process engineering tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
