Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Piping Designer/Modeler to join our team. As a Piping Designer/Modeler, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and 3D models of piping systems for various industrial projects. The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of experience in the industry, preferably in fertilizer, petrochemical, or oil and gas plants. Proficiency in CAD tools, knowledge of piping design engineering, and familiarity with relevant codes and standards are essential for this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Perform basic and detailed piping design engineering activities, including layout design, equipment arrangement, and routing of piping systems.
2. Develop 3D models using software such as PDS, PDMS/E3D, or SP3D, considering equipment, civil, structure, piping, supports, and cable trays.
3. Extract drawings, reports, and other project deliverables from the 3D models.
4. Prepare piping general arrangement (GA) and support drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
5. Collaborate with other disciplines, such as civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation, to coordinate design activities and resolve interferences.
6. Provide support to the procurement and construction teams by creating detailed material take-offs, bill of materials, and specifications.
7. Ensure that piping materials, including pipes, fittings, valves, and supports, comply with the required standards and specifications.
8. Prepare and review statutory approval drawings and documentation as required for project compliance.
9. Maintain accurate and organized design documentation, including drawings, models, and reports.
10. Collaborate with project engineers, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (B.E/B.Tech).
2. 2-4 years of industry experience in fertilizer, petrochemical, or oil and gas plants.
3. Strong knowledge of basic and detail piping design engineering activities.
4. Proven hands-on experience in 3D modelling of piping systems and extraction of drawings and reports.
5. Familiarity with CAD tools, including 3D software such as PDS, PDMS/E3D, or SP3D, and 2D tools like MicroStation and AutoCAD.
6. Understanding of piping materials, codes, standards, and statutory approval requirements.
7. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
