Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Proposal Engineer to join our team. As a Proposal Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating project proposals, leveraging your proficiency in MS-Office. With a qualification in B.E (Mechanical) and 2-3 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in supporting the proposal development process.
- Utilize your expertise in MS-Office to prepare high-quality project proposals, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with client requirements.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and finance, to gather relevant information and create comprehensive proposals.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of client needs, project specifications, and industry trends to tailor proposals accordingly.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, considering labor, materials, and other project-related expenses.
- Prepare technical documentation, including scope of work, project timelines, and deliverables, in alignment with client requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with the sales team to review and refine proposals, incorporating feedback and making necessary revisions.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotes, technical specifications, and other information required for proposal development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of proposal activities, ensuring proper documentation and version control.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, bid documents, and other supporting materials for proposal submissions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to enhance proposal strategies and win rates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E).
- 2-3 years of experience in proposal engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency in MS-Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
- Adherence to quality standards and attention to detail in proposal development.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
