Qualification: B.E/B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering)

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Static Equipment to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer (Static Equipment), you will be responsible for designing and detailing various static equipment such as pressure vessels, exchangers, tanks, etc. Your experience in chemical & fertilizers and oil & gas industries will be highly beneficial in this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Utilize your 3-8 years of experience in designing and detailing static equipment to assist the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
2. Design and detail static equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASME, API, and ASTM.
3. Evaluate the design and drawing submissions from vendors, ensuring they meet project requirements and specifications.
4. Review the project scope of work and prepare a deliverable list for static equipment design.
5. Modify mechanical design basis and provide guidelines for detailed engineering.
6. Check general arrangement (GA) and fabrication drawings for accuracy and compliance.
7. Prepare data sheets and specifications for static equipment.
8. Review process data sheets related to equipment and ensure alignment with project needs.
9. Determine and recommend quality assurance inspection requirements for mechanical equipment.
10. Assist in the preparation of mechanical standards and specifications for the project.
11. Attend meetings with vendors and clients to address technical issues and provide clarification.
12. Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve interconnecting details and ensure project integration.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B-Tech).
2. 5-8 years of experience in designing and detailing static equipment, preferably in chemical & fertilizers and oil & gas industries.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and PV Elite software.
4. Knowledge of industry standards related to static equipment, including ASME, API 650, ASME Sec VIII Div.1, ASME Sec II, and TEMA.
5. Ability to review design and drawing submissions from vendors.
6. Strong understanding of project scope, deliverables, and mechanical design basis.
7. Detail-oriented with the ability to check GA and fabrication drawings for accuracy.
8. Excellent skills in preparing data sheets, specifications, and process-related documentation.
9. Familiarity with quality assurance inspection requirements for mechanical equipment.
10. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with vendors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
