Position: Mechanical Engineer (Static Equiment)
Qualification: B.E/B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering)

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Static Equipment to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer (Static Equipment), you will be responsible for designing and detailing various static equipment such as pressure vessels, exchangers, tanks, etc. Your experience in chemical & fertilizers and oil & gas industries will be highly beneficial in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your 3-8 years of experience in designing and detailing static equipment to assist the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
- Design and detail static equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASME, API, and ASTM.
- Evaluate the design and drawing submissions from vendors, ensuring they meet project requirements and specifications.
- Review the project scope of work and prepare a deliverable list for static equipment design.
- Modify mechanical design basis and provide guidelines for detailed engineering.
- Check general arrangement (GA) and fabrication drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare data sheets and specifications for static equipment.
- Review process data sheets related to equipment and ensure alignment with project needs.
- Determine and recommend quality assurance inspection requirements for mechanical equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of mechanical standards and specifications for the project.
- Attend meetings with vendors and clients to address technical issues and provide clarification.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve interconnecting details and ensure project integration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B-Tech).
- 5-8 years of experience in designing and detailing static equipment, preferably in chemical & fertilizers and oil & gas industries.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and PV Elite software.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to static equipment, including ASME, API 650, ASME Sec VIII Div.1, ASME Sec II, and TEMA.
- Ability to review design and drawing submissions from vendors.
- Strong understanding of project scope, deliverables, and mechanical design basis.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to check GA and fabrication drawings for accuracy.
- Excellent skills in preparing data sheets, specifications, and process-related documentation.
- Familiarity with quality assurance inspection requirements for mechanical equipment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with vendors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
